For the Service:
Time to swap the hoodies for something a little nicer—it’s synagogue time! Think “respectably dressed, but still beating the August heat.” Dresses, skirts, nice pants, and button-downs all work. If you’re rocking something sleeveless, bring a sweater or jacket.
Heads up: guys might be asked to wear a kippah (don’t worry, they’ll have extras).
Basically—look good, feel comfortable, and keep it classy!
For the Party:
Ellie’s Bat Mitzvah theme is art, so guests are encouraged to incorporate the theme into their party attire. Think paint palette chic, graffiti glam, and wearable masterpieces. Bold colors, funky patterns, creative accessories—if it looks like it belongs in a gallery or a fashion-forward art school hallway, you’re on the right track.
No need for full-on costume vibes (unless you really want to), but don’t be afraid to get a little artsy with it. The dance floor is your canvas.

Ellison Irene Friedman is becoming a Bat Mitzvah! Inspired by her curiosity around her dad’s heritage, she is embracing this journey to be a part of something bigger than herself.
Ellie is an artist at heart—she loves drawing, painting, sewing, and crafting. In fact, being an artist is her bat mitzvah theme. Ellie is also a talented piano player, a top-notch student, and an amazing friend.
When she’s not creating, she’s adventuring—mountain biking, backpacking, skiing (uphill & down), and always seeking the next challenge.
Most of all, Ellie is a remarkable human—kind, curious, resilient, and endlessly enthusiastic.
